    Magic of Wool is the creation of five women from Nova Scotia with roots in Istanbul. We enjoy creating long lasting pieces using all natural felt wool that blend stories from Atlantic Canada and the Mediterranean.

    Our flagship item is our felted soaps which are soap bars covered with wool and designed through needle felting. The designs on each soap are completed by hand through needle felting each wool color to the soap to bring the designs to life. We also like to play with wet felting to create various long-lasting pieces such as felted pins and landscape art pieces.

    My name is Michelle Tweed, and I am Weskarini Algonquin First Nation Metis. I make traditional native animal skin drums from deer and bear skins I get from neighbouring hunters. I dye each one individually using plants and berries from around my home. I endeavour to preserve the traditional Native process in the making of these beautiful drums by honouring the lives from which they are made.
